Adwaizer Close
Adwaizer Close: your month-end, closed.
Any bank. Sage 50 or QuickBooks Online. Built in Canada, in both languages.
For the finance team of a Canadian non-profit or small business, and for the bookkeepers who close the month for several of them. Your ledger stays your system of record; Adwaizer Close does the matching, the sorting and the drafting, and nothing is posted without a person's approval.
Works with
Any bank. Two ledgers today.
Banks
Any bank that exports CSV, OFX, QFX or QBO, or a PDF statement: Desjardins AccèsD Affaires, RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC, National Bank, credit unions. We read the file; no bank feed to connect, no feed to break.
Sage 50 Canadian Edition
Exports today (the General Ledger or an account detail report in CSV). On the Team plan, approved entries post through the Sage 50 SDK, or go back as an OFX file Sage 50 imports in Account Reconciliation.
QuickBooks Online
Exports today (the General Ledger or Transaction List report in CSV). On the Team plan, a direct connection on Intuit's developer platform: it reads the ledger and posts approved entries; it does not touch the bank-feed queue. Or a QBO file you upload in Bank transactions.
Xero and others
Tell us in the Close Check form. The bank side already works; we add the ledger export when a customer asks.
How it works
Three steps, every month or every day
1. Add your bank file, or connect
Upload the export for each account and card, or let the Team plan read your QuickBooks Online ledger directly.
2. The engine matches and sorts
Every bank line is matched to your ledger: exact amount and date, then reference, then grouped deposits. What does not match is sorted: bank fee, NSF, duplicate, timing, unknown.
3. Approve, and the entries go out
Proposed entries leave as a journal CSV, an OFX or a QBO file, or post straight into QuickBooks Online or Sage 50 once you approve them.
The numbers come from deterministic code, not from a model. Claude writes the narrative from aggregates only, without transaction descriptions or account numbers.
Each month, in your inbox
- The exception list by category: bank fee, NSF, duplicate, timing, unknown.
- The proposed entries, ready to approve.
- Your match rate, and its trend over the months.
- An estimate of the hours the engine handled, with the assumptions written out.
- On the Team plan: the board statement with drafted variance notes in French and English.
- Everything in English and in French.

Your data
How the engine handles your data
- Files go over an encrypted link to an AWS bucket in the Canada (Central) region, ca-central-1, and are encrypted at rest.
- The engine runs on AWS in the same region. Claude writes the narrative on Amazon Bedrock, also in ca-central-1, or on Anthropic's API if Bedrock fails.
- Only aggregates reach the model: counts and totals, not transaction descriptions or account numbers.
- Your files and the report are deleted 30 days after upload.
- Your ledger stays your system of record. Nothing is written to it without a person's approval.
- A QuickBooks Online connection uses Intuit's own sign-in (OAuth); the tokens are encrypted in ca-central-1, and you can revoke the connection from QuickBooks at any time.
Questions before you start
Which banks does it work with?
Any bank. Download the statement for each account and card as CSV, OFX, QFX or QBO (or a PDF statement) from your bank's business portal, the same files you would use by hand, and add them. Desjardins AccèsD Affaires exports CSV, OFX and TXT; the other Canadian banks export at least CSV and OFX or QFX.
Does it work with QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Today, from the General Ledger or Transaction List report exported to CSV. On the Team plan, a direct connection on Intuit's developer platform: it reads the ledger and posts approved entries; it does not touch the bank-feed queue, which QuickBooks does not expose. Proposed entries can also leave as a QBO file you upload in Bank transactions.
Our bank feed in Sage 50 keeps breaking. Does that matter?
No. Adwaizer Close reads the files you download from your bank, the same files you would use by hand. It does not depend on the Sage 50 bank feed. Approved entries can go back to Sage 50 as an OFX file it imports in Account Reconciliation, or through the Sage 50 SDK on the Team plan.
Who sees our data?
The engine keeps your files in an AWS bucket in Canada that only the engine and the Adwaizer person supporting your account can read, and sends Claude on Amazon Bedrock aggregates only. Your files and the report are deleted 30 days after upload.
What does it cost?
The Close Check is free. Starter is CAD 149 a month, Team CAD 349 a month, Firm CAD 99 a month per client (USD outside Canada), plus GST/HST for Canadian clients. The plans table above has the details.
Can our bookkeeper run it for us?
Yes. The Firm plan gives a bookkeeper or an accounting firm the Team features for each client organisation, one dashboard for all of them, and the report under their name.
